About Laura Redman:
Laura
Redman is a reliable, knowledgeable and experienced rural Real Estate Broker living
and working in Eastern Ontario, Canada. Her lifelong commitment to rural life
includes growing up on a family farm, choosing to always live rural and the
support of local food initiatives.
Laura
brings extensive communication skills to her real estate role. As former longtime
journalist and newspaper editor, Laura’s work has been published in the Toronto
Star, The Globe & Mail and Harrowsmith Almanac, as well as many regional or
community newspapers and magazines. Within her 20-year print media career,
Laura worked as a reporter and photographer, city editor and managing editor of
a group of community newspapers. In 2009, Laura was also named as Writer-in-Residence
at the former R.D. Lawrence Centre in Haliburton County.
Committed
to community engagement, Laura has delivered more than 150 workshops in the
areas of journalism, media literacy, creative non-fiction and fiction to
children and adults in schools, libraries and community settings.
Laura
resides with her husband, Peter Redman, and several beloved pets, near Seeley’s
Bay.
